BIKE FIT FOR RENTAL BIKE MALLORCA

SET THE BIKE FIT

We are worried about your experience and comfort on our bikes, so we are trying to give our best. Usually we are helping with the base bike fitting due the pick-up procedure: we are focused on the Saddle height as the most important parameter.

If you know your Basic parameters, we could try to put* it on your rental bike. Also, for the best experience, we recommend to bring your own saddle.

*We have to mention, that in some cases it's impossible to set a full bike fit for some bikes

If you need help to adjust position, please provide us with measurements in mm for each rider to set your position, including:

  • Saddle width and length

  • Saddle height (B)

  • Handlebar reach (A)

  • Handlebar drop (Z-W)

  • Saddle setback (X-Y) (not mandatory*)

HOW TO MEASURE

Lean the Bike:

  • Position the bike so that the rear wheel is leaning against the wall.

  • Make sure the angle between the wall and the bike frame, when viewed from the top, is 90 degrees.

  • Adjust the bike to make sure it's vertical. This might involve making sure the bike is not leaning to either side.

  1. Measure Parameters Y and X according explanation below

  2. Measure Parameters W and Z according explanation below

Ensure that you use a level surface and accurate measuring tools for precise measurements. If you encounter any specific issues during these steps or have more questions, feel free to ask! For the long term reservations and long rides (over 4 hours) we are recommending to bring own saddle.

A : Handlebar Reach

The horizontal distance from the front tip of the saddle to the center of the handlebar.

Z-W: Handlebar Drop
The vertical distance from the center point of the saddle profile to the top of the handlebar. A negative value signifies the handlebar being lower than the saddle. Measurs like a difference between dimentios Z and W. E.g. 940mm-1000mm = -60mm (handlebar lower than saddle) ; 1050mm -1000mm = 50mm (handlebar higher than saddle).

B : Saddle Height

The distance from the center of the bottom bracket to the horizontal midpoint of the saddle profile.

Y-X : Saddle setback*

The horizontal distance from the front tip of the saddle to the center of the bottom bracket. A negative value signifies the saddle being rearward of the bottom bracket.

*This measurement is not mandatory for a standard bike fit and is typically reserved for cases where a rider has specific limitations or issues with certain positions due to injuries or other concerns. In general, experienced riders are aware of whether this parameter is crucial for their individual comfort and performance
